Your Path to CPS

Over 86% of Northeastern CPS students transfer in credit, many from community colleges. We work with schools to ensure that the transfer process is seamless for students. Below is a list of schools that CPS students frequently transfer from.

Many students from Bristol Community College find the Fast-Track Bachelor of Science in Health Management to be a good fit for them. This program is offered 100% online and is designed for students who wish to work in nonclinical, managerial roles within health care organizations.  Some potential careers for graduates are medical and health service managers, insurance underwriters, community service managers, and health care administrators.

These students may be interested in utilizing cooperative education (co-op) to apply what they are learning in the classroom to their work in the community. Northeastern University began co-op over 100 years ago and is recognized as a leader in theory-to-practice education. Most students who are enrolled in a bachelor's program may take advantage of co-op if interested.

Mass Bay Community College

Mass Bay students from the Wellesley and the Framingham campuses often explore CPS as a strong transfer option. Students who are studying information systems at Mass Bay are often interested in our Fast-Track in Information Technology program. Upon acceptance to the Fast-Track IT program, students may apply to the Master of Science in Project Management for a conditional acceptance.

North Shore Community College

Each year, students from North Shore Community College transfer to the College of Professional Studies. Many NSCC students transfer their full associate’s degree and take advantage of our Fast-Track accelerated degree programs.

Yureidy Medina (CPS '14) completed her associate degree at North Shore Community College and is now enrolled in the Fast-Track Finance and Accounting Management program. She will graduate in the summer of 2014 with her bachelor’s degree! Yureidy had this to say about her experience in the Fast-Track program:

I like that we work with the same group of people during the 18 months, it makes it easier since everyone is usually under the same circumstances of full time employees and students. The program is that it gives you the ability to work and study at the same time. Hybrid classes are a great tool for accelerating a degree."

This degree has helped me to retain information in my field of study, which then aided the progression of my career.
